update

Got here and she had very little changes over night.  She is resting well with the breathing tube still in.  Doctors haven't rounded yet.  Did have to restart a new iv in her foot.  May talk about an ng tube depending on how long she will stay intubated.  She looks less swollen today which is a plus

No more calcium iv she is riding the low end of the normal rate

  1. Keep the faith. She is a beautiful little girl who is a fighter. She has two great parents fighting with her. Our prayers are with you.

  2. They have tons of amazing medication that can help drop all of the fluids holding on her now. It was incredible when we saw Cam drop 200ml in a morning he looked terrible in the AM but much better by the afternoon. We had the same hopes of a perfect run but there are almost always some set backs all of these heart families are sharing to support you know that! 3. We too know the ups and downs of the cicu. Our daughter Raygen was on the ventalator for 7 days after her Norwood then she was on high flow and cpap. Her vocal cords were damaged during surgery so her experience is very rare. Hang in there and know that so many people including us are praying for Oliva and your family.

  6. Little change is good! Sometimes it is a good thing to let them rest with the vent for a little bit longer. Lets their bodies get a little stronger. They extubated Madison a little later than expected after her Glenn, but it worked out really well.

I saw someone else post about fluid. One day last week Madison was something like positive 240. After a couple doses of Lasix, she was -200 that evening. Needless to say we backed off the Lasix :)

Hang in there. Continuing to pray for your little one.
