1 month old

Today marks Olivias 1 month mark. She was very fussy and spent the majority of the day either upset or asleep. Tomorrow she gets her second heart cath to try and figure out why she keeps dropping her oxygen levels. This time, having Brett at home worrying, and me here trying to relay the messages and make decisions is very hard. I have decided that spending the day at the hospital even though I am just sitting and feeding her is more draining than being home taking care of her 24/7. I will try to update as much as I can tomorrow as soon as I know something.

  1. Happy 1 month birthday. We are praying for you sweet angel. You have touched my heart. I read your updates to my son Jack who is going to be four months old soon. He smiles at your pictures. After tomorrow you will get better and so much stronger. We are thinking of you sweet girl.

  2. Happy One Month Birthday! Many prayers that they can figure out what is happening in the cath lab. I know how you feel about sitting in the hospital...it is draining and makes for a very long day.

  4. Happy one month birthday!!
Olivia's story (and I love that name, I have a dd with that name too) sounds very much like John's so far. He is hypoplastic right though. After his first surgery he kept having desats that were too severe to send him home with, so we lived at the hospital until he could have the Glenn. At 12 weeks old his pressures were ready for the Glenn and he did soooo great after that… we went home a week later! Praying for a very successful cath today.

  5. Happy Birthday, Olivia! Praying that all goes well and they can get some answers in the cath lab. Mel, get out of the hospital for awhile - when she nods off for a nap, go take a walk and get some fresh air (or is it too freezing?!) Take care of yourself too - eat, drink and nap when Olivia naps. (((hugs)))
