Oxygen again

She is back on oxygen again. She dropped again this morning so it had to be restarted. They are talking with Dr. spray,  the head of the cath department and her cardiologist to see how to proceed. They want us to stay until surgery number two is behind us. Bummer!

  1. She's in great hands. We're sending lots of love and positive energy your way. Sorry to hear that they'll want you to stay throughout interstage, but they know what's best. Big Hugs from the Lihns.

  2. I am so sorry to hear that. When are they expecting to do the next surgery? Do they have an age target?

  3. Brent & Melanie;
    I know what is going through your minds and the hope of seeing Olivia grow up. My son Brandon was born almost 20 years ago with the maybe the same heart defect. He had his first surgery on New Years Eve @ 4 days old. He would require more surgeries for a total of six. Surgeries were preformed @ Baptist 3 and the last 3 were @ Tulane. The procedure that was used is the Fontane procedure. It requires rerouting the blood supply to the heart to the pulmonary artey. I will stop here, and my thoughts go out to Olivia for a swift recovery.
