Complications

Olivia after being discharged wanted to spice it up a little. We were trying to finish the last of the research stuff when her ear started bleeding. We called ent and went to the clinic. The doctor was fabulous and went to her in genetics just to look at her ear. Apparently, she had sutures/ bandages that came off. The solution was as u see below. Unfortunately, we missed the flight home and have to stay until tomorrow morning.

  1. Hi Melanie. I just came across your blog and I feel like I could have written some of these. I have a 3 and 1/2 year old miracle boy with HLHS, and it is always helpful to read other people's experiences. I especially liked your post about giving the short and long answers- I totally agree with your outlook there! On another note, hope all continues to go well with your current CHOP trip and the ears. We are also looking at the fontan this summer, so I am excited (if you can say that) to have found your blog, as you will be doing that too. I know our kids are different ages, but whatever works for their little hearts, right? I am going to subscribe and look forward to hearing from you again
