What a success

The fundraiser is over and was a great success. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who made that night such a success. We must give credit where credit is due and that is my two wonderful sisters, a fabulous cousin, our many aunts and uncles and cousins and our great extended family who worked their butts off. We can't forget Bob Rupp and his marketing agency, who allowed us to get our story out there and  helped us share our HLHS journey. We were on WGNO, WDSU, FOX8, the Clarion Herald, The Times Picayune to come, and Garland Robinette.  I hope to post those clips next. The bands, food, and auctions lead to great fun and on multiple occasions many people asked who our party planner was. It was us. I know it may be a shocker, but for us it allowed us to feel like we were doing something that would help our sweet angel. One of the hardest parts of this whole situation is the feeling of helplessness. This was our opportunity to do something. Yet, it would not have been a great success without the wonderful turnout we had. The final estimate of guests was somewhere between 600-722. Pretty amazing, huh?
Reality sank in the next day after all the clean up was done, and Brett and I were speechless. Now our real battle starts and that is the hardest to accept. The fundraiser has given us an escape from thinking about how sick our sweet angel is going to be. Yet, we know that through it all, Olivia has a pretty awesome army behind her. Thank you to everyone! Thank you just doesn't seem like enough sometimes.
If anyone has pictures from the event, please email them or post them for everyone to see.
